The Itinerary...

• Our first stop is the Knorhoek wine estate at the foot of the Simonsberg mountains. Here guests are spoilt with a delicious cheese platter luncheon accompanied by wines from their award-winning cellar.

• After lunch we head for a cellar tour and tasting at the renowned Simonsig Estate, the first producers of Cap Classique wine. We are taken on an informative journey through the process of wine production at this long established estate before getting to taste the Champagne-style and other top quality wines in their charming “old-school” tasting room.

• Guests have an hour to wander through the streets of the historic and picturesque town of Stellenbosch before we drive to the summit of Helshoogte where the panoramic view forms the backdrop to your next wine tasting. The wines of the modern Tokara estate are stylish and vibrant in keeping with the trend amongst innovative wine makers in South Africa.

• In the late afternoon we drive through the Franschhoek valley to the old Huguenot settlement, Franschhoek. With it’s tradition of fine characteristic wines a legacy of the French artisans who first planted vines here, Franschhoek is also considered to be the gourmet capital of the Western Cape. Overlooking the valley from the terrace of a 5 star hotel we indulge in the highlight of our tour - a wine tasting and gourmet dinner in one of South Africas top 10 restaurants.

• After your meal we take you safely back to your accommodation, hoping that you have had a wonderful experience surrounded by the beauty of the Cape winelands.
